Convertible Top Switch: Description and Operation
Operation
OPERATION
The power top switch status is transmitted over the Local Interface Network (LIN) data bus circuit to the instrument cluster (sometimes referred to as the
Cab Compartment Node). Once the message is received by the CCN it is then sent to the driver window module via the Controller Area Network (CAN)
data bus circuit. When a top operation message is received by the driver window module, it will ground the respective relay control circuit which in turn
will operate the motor. The driver window module uses this CAN B message to perform one of the following functions:

Power top up (switch pushed upward)

Power top down (switch pushed downward to the first position)

Power top express down/all windows down (switch pushed downward to the second position and held in place)
