PT Cruiser L4-2.4L Turbo (2009)
1. Lubricate shoe contact areas on support plate and anchor using Mopar(R) Brake Lubricant or equivalent.
NOTE: Right side drum brake shown. Right side is typical.
2. Before installing shoes on vehicle, perform the following on the bench:
a. Place one leading shoe (4) and one trailing shoe (7) on the bench (trailing shoe has parking brake lever attached to it).
b. Install the adjuster (6) and the upper return spring (2).
c. Slide the lever pawl (3) under the adjuster (6) and onto the pivot on the leading shoe (4).
d. Install the adjuster spring (5) between the leading shoe (4) and the lever pawl (3).
