PT Cruiser L4-2.4L Turbo VIN 8 (2005)
2. Ensure the three foam rubber driver airbag retaining clip pads are still in place on the rear of the steering wheel. Replace any missing pads.
3. Install the steering wheel ensuring the flats on hub align with the clock spring. Pull the horn lead, airbag and speed control leads through the larger
slot. Ensure leads do not get pinched under the steering wheel.
4. Install the steering wheel retaining bolt, and torque it to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the driver airbag.
WARNING: DO NOT CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE YET. REFER FIRST TO AIRBAG SYSTEM TEST. Refer to
Restraint Systems
6. Reconnect battery using Airbag System Test procedure in Restraint Systems.
7. Close hood.
8. Verify vehicle and system operation.
