Trunk/Liftgate Sensor/Switch (For Alarm): Description and Operation
CIRCUIT OPERATION
The trunk key cylinder switch is located on the trunk latch and is used as an input to the Body Control Module (BCM) when the key cylinder is
being tampered with.
This switch is normally CLOSED. Power for the switch is supplied on circuit G71 from the BCM. Ground for the switch is supplied on the Z1
circuit.
When the key cylinder is being tampered with the switch OPENS and the path to ground is lost. The BCM then operates the alarm.
