3. Use a flat-tipped screwdriver or the like to open up the retainer joint, and remove the retainer.
INSTALLATION
1. Fill the master cylinder with brake fluid conforming to DOT 3 or DOT 4 standards.
2. Bleed the brake system.See: Brake Bleeding/Service and Repair
3. Perform parking brake lever stroke adjustment check. See: Parking Brake System/Parking Brake Lever/Testing and Inspection
4. Install the washer in the direction shown above.
5. Use pliers or the like to install the retainer on the pin.
