Sebring Convertible V6-2.5L SOHC 24 Valve (1996)
Steering Gear: Service and Repair
1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then siphon power steering fluid from remote power steering reservoir
2. From interior of vehicle, remove retaining pin from intermediate shaft coupler pinch bolt, then the pinch bolt from intermediate shaft coupler.
3. Separate intermediate shaft coupler from gear shaft.
4. Raise and support vehicle, then remove both front wheel and tire assemblies.
5. Remove nuts attaching both outer tie rod ends to steering knuckles.
6. Using remover tool No. MB-991113, or equivalent, remove both tie rod end studs from steering knuckles.

7. Using an awl, scribe a line on body marking the front to back installed location where front suspension crossmember is mounted on each side of
vehicle.
