Subject
The convertible top micro switches on about 21,500 of the above vehicles may bind and the Power Top Control Module (PTCM) software may deform
the header motor gear(s) under certain operating conditions. In addition, storing objects forward of the trunk cargo shield can damage the convertible top
mechanism if the top is lowered. These conditions can cause the convertible top to become inoperative.
Repair
>
If the vehicle DID NOT have RRT 07-025 performed AND the MDH is 062223 or earlier, the tonneau extend, retract and deck lid forward latch
micro switches must be replaced, the PTCM must be reprogrammed and a luggage compartment warning tag must be installed.
>
If the vehicle HAD RRT 07-025 performed, OR the MDH is 062300 through 083023, only the deck lid forward latch micro switch must be replaced,
the PTCM must be reprogrammed and a luggage compartment warning tag must be installed.
