Receiver Dryer: Service and Repair
Removal

REMOVAL

Precautions/Warning and See: Service Precautions/Caution. Failure to follow the warnings and cautions may result in serious or fatal injury.

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Recover the refrigerant from the refrigerant systemSee: Service and Repair/Procedures/Refrigerant System Recovery.
3. Remove the air cleaner housing and inlet duct from the engine compartment .
4. Remove the front and the rear sections of the A/C liquid line (1 and 2) from the A/C receiver/drier (4)See: Hose/Line HVAC/Service and

Repair/A/C Line - Removal.

5. Remove the bolt (3) that secures the A/C receiver/drier to the right front frame rail and remove the receiver/drier from the engine compartment.
