Front Door Latch: Service and Repair
Front Door Latch - Installation

INSTALLATION

NOTE: Left side shown. Right side similar.

1. If removed, connect the two linkage rods (3) to the door latch (1) and engage the retaining clips. Make sure the retaining clips are fully engaged to

the rods.

2. Position the door latch to the carrier plate (7) and engage the upper retaining tab (2).
3. Engage the lower retaining tab (8) to the carrier plate. Make sure the upper and lower retaining tabs are fully engaged.
4. Connect the linkage rod (5) and linkage cable (6) to the door latch and engage the retaining clips. Make sure the retaining clips are fully engaged

to the rod and cable.

5. Connect the door wire harness connector (4) to the latch.
6. Install the carrier plate See: Service and Repair/Front Door Carrier Plate - Installation.
