Flash: Long Crank Or Idle Flucation In Cold Temperatures With E20 - E30 Ethanol Fuel Blends
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with new software.

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to RS vehicles equipped with a 3.3L FFV engine (sales code EGM).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The vehicle operator may experience long crank times or idle flucation after start in cold tempatures of 18° F (-8° C) with E20 - E30 ethanol fuel blends.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using a Scan Tool (DRBIII(R)) with the appropriate diagnostic procedures on TechCONNECT, verify all engine systems are functioning as designed. If
DTCs are present, record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin.
If the customer describes the Symptom/Condition is present, perform the Repair Procedure.
