Speed Control Switch: Description and Operation
Speed Control Switch
Mini-vans, trucks and "Q" bodies all are equipped with a stalk switch. All other covered vehicles have the switch assembly mounted in the steering
wheel. Both switches are wired in a similar manner; the primary difference is that the steering wheel mounted switch is wired through a
clockspring assembly located at the upper end of the steering column and the other switch is not.
Note: Special precautions and procedures must be followed when servicing clocksprings on vehicle with airbags.
