ABS Main Relay: Description and Operation
ABS ENABLE RELAY
The Antilock Brake System (ABS) enable relay is located near the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) behind the right-side kick panel.
The ABS enable relay is a normally-open contact type and has special contact material to handle the high currents required for ABS VI operation. The
relay supplies the battery voltage and the current to the solenoids and to the EBCM, which supplies power to the motors and operates the solenoids by
switching ground for them.
