Shifter M/T: Service and Repair
Gearshift Tube, Boot, Bushing and/or Bearing Ring
Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the rod clamp bolt.
3. Separate the linkage bolt from the gearshift tube.
4. Remove the rod clamp from the gearshift tube.
5. Remove the screws from the rear portion of the floor console.
6. Remove the rear portion of the floor console.
7. Disconnect the power window switch connector.
8. Position the shift lever into NEUTRAL.
