Door Step Lamp: Testing and Inspection
Door Step Lamps Inoperative
CAUTION: Always make sure there is an electrical load, such as a lamp bulb, in any circuit between battery terminals. Do not make a short circuit
between battery terminals with a jumper wire, or hazardous sparking will result.
Test Description
The number below refers to Step 1 on the diagnostic table.
1. Bulb test. Clip one end of a jumper wire to the negative battery terminal. Clip the other end of the jumper wire onto one end of the bulb. Take the
end of the bulb without the jumper attached and touch it to the positive battery terminal.
