A possibility exists that the wire harness for the Leganza stepper-motor style Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve may come into contact with the
EGR Valve Housing which may cause damage to the harness.
To correct this concern, the EGR Wire Harness should be repositioned and a plastic wire tie wrap installed to retain the wire harness away from the EGR
Valve Housing.
Harness Repositioning Procedure:
1.
Position the EGR Wire Harness to the Ignition Coil side of the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor.
Note:
Inspect the harness for damage and replace as necessary, then proceed to step 2.
2.
Using a tie wrap, loosely attach the EGR Wire Harness to the Ignition Coil Wire Harness.
Note:
Tighten the tie wrap until the EGR Wire Harness does not contact the EGR Valve Housing, but insure that each of the wire harnesses have adequate
length to allow for engine movement.
