Nubira SX Hatchback L4-2.0L DOHC D-TEC MFI (1999)
1. Install two new O-rings onto the A/C suction hose and the liquid evaporator pipe at the bulkhead in the engine compartment.
2. Install the heater/air distribution case into the vehicle. Refer to, Heating and Ventilation System (Without Air Conditioning).
IMPORTANT: Do not try to verify the operation of the system until the A/C system has been installed and recharged.
3. Install the A/C suction hose and liquid evaporator pipes onto the evaporator flange connecting block studs.
4. Secure the liquid evaporator pipe to the evaporator flange with the nut.
Tighten
Tighten the suction hose connecting block retaining nut to 10 Nm (89 lb.in).
5. Install the suction hose and liquid evaporator pipe clamps and clamp bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the A/C suction hose clamp bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb.in).
Tighten the liquid evaporator pipe clamp bolt to 4 Nm (35 lb.in).
6. Install the evaporator drain hose.
7. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system.
8. Operate the HVAC control to verify the proper function of the heating and cooling systems.
