Control Arm Bushing: Service and Repair
1.
Raise and support vehicle.
2.
Remove front wheel.
3.
Remove engine splash shield.
4.
Remove stabilizer bar end nut.
5.
Remove attaching nut to lower ball joint.
6.
Remove lower suspension arm nut from body.

7.
On 1.3L/4-97 and 1.6L/4-97 engines, remove attaching bolts to lower suspension brace, Fig. 9.
8.
On all models, remove lower suspension arm bracket and remove lower arm.
9.
Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Tighten all suspension bolts and nuts temporarily.
b. Lower vehicle on wheels and settle suspension.
c. Torque suspension attaching bolts and nuts to specification while vehicle is in a unloaded state.
d. Perform wheel alignment.
