Cruise Control Servo Cable: Service and Repair
1. Remove air cleaner.
2. Disconnect cable from servo, then remove cable assembly.
3. Hold throttle open by rotating cable remaining cam, then remove cable slug from throttle lever cam.
4. Remove cable from bracket at throttle body.
5. Remove two nuts from servo mounting bracket, then pull servo away from mounting bracket.
6. Remove and discard push nuts on servo studs, then pull speed control cable away from servo to exposed servo retaining clip.
7. Disconnect cable from servo, then remove cable assembly.
8. To install, locate cable through servo mounting bracket.
9. Connect cable sleeve to servo stud, align holes, then install clip.
10. Insert servo studs through holes in cable and holes in bracket, then install new nuts on servo studs.
11. Route cable from servo, through cable support bracket and clip, then install cable end on stud of throttle body.
12. Replace air cleaner.
