Center the hole in the cam to the bushing by hand, or if necessary by lightly prying between the end of the cam and the door sheet metal using a
large flat screwdriver. The sheet metal should be protected using a suitable guard, such as tape. Figure 2

Once the bushing and hole are aligned, a squeezing force (pressing the bushing into the hole) can be applied with the index finger and thumb to
maintain alignment. The chamfer of the bushing will assist in maintaining alignment.

With the other hand lightly clamp a pair of long nose locking pliers on to the bushing and cam on two opposite sides of the pivot pin. Ensure that
the cam is square to the pivot pin. Figure 3
