NOTE:
This bulletin supersedes Technical Service Bulletin 21-05-95 dated April 14, 1995 which should be removed from your files. The Labor Operation
Number for the diesel engine has been added and is marked with **asterisks**
MODELS: 1994 - 1995 (BR) Ram Truck
NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with the 8.0L V10 gasoline or Cummins diesel engines and automatic transmissions.
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Delayed transmission engagement of 2 to 8 seconds at driveway start up. Most noticeable after the vehicle has been parked for an extended period,
typically overnight.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using the Mopar Diagnostic System or the Scan Tool (DRB II or III) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedure Manual, verify that all engine systems
are functioning as designed. If Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) are present, record them on the repair order for future reference and repair as
necessary. If no codes are present and all systems are functioning correctly, check the transmission fluid level following the procedures outlined in the
appropriate Service Manual. If the fluid level is correct, perform the repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This repair involves installing a transmission oil cooler pressure line with built in drainback check valve for both engine types. The 8.0L V-10 will also
receive 2 quick connectors at the cooler lines that connect to the transmission. The Cummins Diesel will receive 4 quick connectors - 2 at the
transmission and 2 at the engine mounted cooler.
