Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve: Service and Repair
1.
Remove PCV valve from rocker arm cover.
2.
Remove clamp from PCV hose (if equipped).
3.
Remove PCV valve from hose.
4.
Inspect PCV hose for cracks or damage. Replace if necessary.
5.
Inspect PCV grommet for cracks or damage. Replace if necessary.
6.
Push new PCV valve into hose and install new clamp.
7.
Lube PCV valve nipple and push into mounting grommet.
CRANKCASE BREATHER/FILTER SERVICE
1.
Remove fresh air hose from breather.
2.
Remove breather from rocker arm cover.
3.
Wash breather with fresh solvent and drain.
4.
Invert breather and fill with clean 30W motor oil.
5.
Drain thoroughly and reinstall breather.
