For vehicles equipped with A/C only: Snap the provided protective cover over the NC compressor manifold (Figure 13).

Reconnect the negative battery cable.

Refill cooling system as follows:
a.
Close radiator drain plug.
b.
Refill cooling system using original coolant and install radiator cap.
c.
Start and operate engine until thermostat opens. Add 50/50 coolant/water mixture as necessary to coolant reserve/overflow bottle. The level
in the tank should be between the ADD and FULL marks.

equipped with an 8.0L V-10 engine, to return them to their dealer for a special service.
The Problem is...
The intake manifold gasket on your Ram truck (identified on the enclosed form), may leak. This could cause internal engine damage, a rough idle or a
whistling noise.
What you must do...

Simply contact your dealer to schedule a service appointment. Ask the dealer to hold parts for your vehicle or order them prior to your appointment.

Bring the enclosed Owner Notification Form with you to your dealer. It tells the dealer what service is required for your vehicle.
What Chrysler and your dealer will do...
Chrysler will repair your Ram truck free of charge (parts and labor). To do this, your dealer will replace the intake manifold gaskets. The work will take
about 3-1/2 hours to complete. However, additional time may be necessary depending on how dealer appointments are scheduled and processed.
