Sliding Door Handles
DOOR INSIDE HANDLE REMOVAL
1. Remove the inside handle attaching screw from the outside handle shaft.
NOTE: The door inside handle is attached to the outside handle shaft (and the door latch) with an Allen (hex-head) screw.
2. Remove the handle and spacers from the outside handle shaft and latch access cover.
INSTALLATION
1. Position the spacers and the inside handle on the outside handle shaft. Ensure that both spacers are installed.
2. Install the inside handle attaching screw in the outside handle shaft. Tighten the screw with 5 Nm (40 in. lbs.) torque.
DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE REMOVAL
1. Remove the inside handle and the spacers.
2. Pull the outside handle shaft from the door latch and remove the handle, escutcheon and seal from the door.
INSTALLATION
1. Position the outside handle shaft seal and the escutcheon on the door outside panel aligned with the latch hole.
2. Insert the outside handle shaft in the latch hole and "seat" the handle against the escutcheon.
3. Install the inside handle and the spacers. Ensure that both spacers are installed.
