THIS BULLETIN SUPERSEDES TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN 11-02-94 REV. A DATED SEP. 30, 1994 WHICH SHOULD BE NOTED IN
THE 1994 TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN BOUND BOOK. 1995 MODEL YEAR VEHICLES BUILT PRIOR TO 12101194 (MDH 12-01-XX)
HAVE BEEN ADDED. IN ADDITION, THE TORQUE VALUE IN REPAIR PROCEDURE STEP 7 HAS BEEN CHANGED. THE CHANGES ARE
HIGHLIGHTED WITH ASTERISKS.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Drone and vibration is present at idle and in gear (D) when the engine is at operating temperature. Drone and vibration is not present when engine RPM
is raised above idle RPM.
DIAGNOSIS:
With the engine idling at normal operating temperature, listen/feel for exhaust type drone/vibration. Vibration can be felt through brake pedal, steering
column, seat and floor. The drone/vibration goes away off idle or when shift lever is placed into Park or Neutral.

Steady Rest Bracket & Clamp Kit
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves the addition of a steady rest bracket to the exhaust strut on the transmission.
1.
Raise vehicle on an appropriate hoist.
2.
Loosen left engine to automatic transmission strut bolt. Loosen only enough to slide new steady rest bracket in place (see Figure 1).
