No-Start, Start & Stall, MIL Illumination, Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCS) P0508/P0509
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves replacing the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with a 3.3L or 3.8L engine (sales codes EGA, EGH, EGM).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Vehicle operator may describe a engine no-start, or start & stall, or MIL illumination with a rough/fluctuating idle. This condition may only occur in cold
ambient temperatures; below 0° C. (32° F). This condition may not be able to be duplicated after the PCM has warmed above 0° C. (32° F). This
condition can only be diagnosed in cold ambient temperatures; below 0° C. (32° F.).
Technicians may find the following DTCs:
P0508 - IAC Value Sense Circuit Low P0509 - IAC Value Sense Circuit High
DIAGNOSIS:
If the vehicle operator describes, or the technician experiences, any of the Symptom/Conditions, perform the Repair Procedure.
