Power Door Lock Motor: Service and Repair
Power Door Lock Motor Replacement
Front Door
REMOVAL
Front Door Assembly
1.
Remove inside door release handle and window crank handle.
2.
Remove door trim panel.
3.
Pull the door watershield away from the lower rear corner of the door. Once the watershield is pulled back, the inside panel opening is revealed.
4.
Disconnect the power door lock motor electrical connector.
5.
Remove the latch links and remove the door latch/integral lock motor assembly by removing the mounting screws.
INSTALLATION
1.
Connect latch links to door latch/integral lock motor assembly.
2.
Connect the motor electrical connector.
3.
Attach the door latch/integral lock motor assembly to the inside of the door panel with the mounting screws. Torque the mounting screws to 87
lb-in (10 Nm).
4.
Reset the watershield at the lower rear corner of the door.
5.
Install the door trim panel.
6.
Install window crank handle and inside door release handle.
