On the AS-Body vehicles involved in this recall (# 527), defective high pressure hoses and pumps must be identified and replaced. The crimped end
fittings on suspect hoses may blow off or leak. Also, pump castings may be porous which could result in brake fluid leakage.
Note:
Vehicles involved in the previous Recall # 526 (referenced above) only require service for the high pressure hose.
Important:
Some of the involved vehicles may still be in dealer stock. Be sure to complete the service on these vehicles before retail delivery.

Vehicle List, Parts and Owner Information
Vehicle List
Each dealer to whom involved vehicles were invoiced (or the current dealer at the same location) will receive with this letter a vehicle list arranged in
Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) sequence. Owners known to Chrysler are also listed. The lists are for dealer reference in arranging for service of
involved vehicles.
Each Dodge or Chrysler-Plymouth dealer without a Vehicle List will receive an information copy of this letter by Compak Mail for use in performing the
service on any involved transient vehicles.
Parts
Replacement parts must be ordered at dealer cost as necessary. Order High Pressure Hose Package. Recall Part No. C3940470, or ABS Pump Package.
Recall Part No. C3940478 as applicable -- see the Service Procedure section of this letter for inspection/replacement requirements.
An instruction summary is included in both the hose package and the pump package for convenient reference by the servicing technician.
Owner Notification and Service Scheduling
All involved vehicle owners known to Chrysler are being notified of the service requirement by first class mail. They are requested to schedule
appointments for the service with their dealers at the earliest possible date. A copy of the owner notification letter in this bulletin.
Enclosed with each owner notification is an Owner Recall Notification Form. The involved vehicle and recall are identified on the form for owner or
dealer reference as needed.
