Cut a .040" - .050" chamfer into the hole on the aluminum power steering pump bracket that the automatic tensioner attaching bolt passes through
(refer to Figures 1 and 2). A 90 degree deburring or countersink drill bit can be used by hand to cut the chamfer without removing the power
steering pump bracket (refer to Figure 3). A hand held deburring tool can also be used but it may need to be shortened due to the limited work
space (refer to Figure 4).

Clean the area of all loose metal chips created during the chamfering of the hole. This cleaning is critical to the success of the repair because a
loose metal chip could change the angle at which the tensioner is mounted.

Install the new automatic tensioner P/N 4483214. Be sure the build code stamped on the tensioner is 392B1 or later (example 402, 412, 422... 013,
023...). The 392 stands for the 39th week of 1992, 023 stands for the 2nd week of 1993.
