4. Align the spline on the steering wheel hub to shaft and install the steering wheel (1).
5. Install a NEW retaining bolt (2). Tighten the bolt to 70 Nm (52 ft. lbs.).
6. Install the driver airbag (3) See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Driver Air Bag - Installation.
NOTE: The Electronic Stability Control (ESC) may also be referred to as Electronic Stability Program (ESP) depending on the vehicle model
year and configuration. Certain components may also reference ESP, ESC, or use the traction control symbol.
7. Connect the battery negative cable. If equipped with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), the steering angle sensor must be calibrated See: Starting
and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures/Battery System - Battery Reconnection.
