Charger V6-2.7L (2008)
1. Position the front floor distribution duct (2) to the bottom of the HVAC air distribution housing (3).
2. Install the six screws (1) that secure the front floor distribution duct to the air distribution housing. Tighten the screws to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.).
3. Install the air distribution housing See: Housing Assembly HVAC/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/HVAC Housing - Installation.
INTERMEDIATE FLOOR DISTRIBUTION DUCTS
4. Install the driver side rear intermediate floor distribution duct (5) and the passenger side rear intermediate floor distribution duct (3) into the slots
in the floor support (4).
5. Connect the driver side front intermediate floor distribution duct (7) to the driver side rear intermediate floor distribution duct.
6. Connect the driver side front intermediate floor distribution duct to the front floor distribution duct (8).
7. Install the push-pin fastener (6) that secures the driver side rear intermediate floor distribution duct to the floor support.
8. Connect the passenger side front intermediate floor distribution duct (2) to the passenger side rear intermediate floor distribution duct.
9. Connect the passenger side front intermediate floor distribution duct to the front floor distribution duct.
10. Install the push-pin fastener (1) that secures the passenger side front intermediate floor distribution duct to the floor support.
11. Install the carpet onto the front floor panel and under the instrument panel See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Carpet/Service and
Repair/Carpet - Installation.
12. Install the front seats See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Seat - Installation.
13. Install the center floor console See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Floor Console - Installation.
Instrument Panel Ducts - Removal
REMOVAL
WARNING: On vehicles equipped with airbags, disable the airbag system before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, or instrument
panel component diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system
capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to take the
proper precautions could result in accidental airbag deployment and possible personal injury or death.
NOTE: Take the proper precautions to protect the front face of the instrument panel from cosmetic damage.
