Flash: Momentary Fluctuation Of The Speedometer Needle
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with new software.

300 / Magnum / Charger
NOTE:
This bulletin applies to the above listed vehicles equipped with a 2.7L engine with a 42 RLE transmission (sales code EER and DGV) and standard
brakes (sales code BR8 or BRD) built before January 9, 2008 (MDH 0109XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The vehicle operator may notice an infrequent condition described as the speedometer needle fluctuating despite the actual speed of the vehicle
remaining constant.
DIAGNOSIS:
Using a Scan Tool (StarSCAN(R)) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify all engine systems are functioning as
designed. If DTC's are present record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin.
If the vehicle operator describes or experiences the Symptom/Condition, perform the Repair Procedure.
