7. Route the gearshift cable (1) through the mounting bracket (2).
8. Engage the gearshift cable (1) eyelet onto the transmission manual shift lever (3).
9. Install the gearshift cable retaining clip (4) (if equipped).
10. Lower the vehicle.
11. Verify the transmission shifts in and out of PARK, and through all gear ranges. If necessary, adjust the cable . See: Adjustments/42RLE
Automatic Transmission
12. Install the silencer panel (1), and the silencer panel fasteners.
13. Install the instrument panel steering column cover reinforcement (1) to the bracket (2), and install the screws (3).
14. Reconnect the trunk release harness connector to the trunk release switch on the knee bolster.
15. Install the knee bolster.
