10. Route the gearshift cable (1) through the mounting bracket (2).
11. Engage the gearshift cable (1) eyelet onto the transmission manual shift lever (3).
12. Install the gearshift cable retaining clip (4) (if equipped).
13. Lower vehicle.
14. Verify that the shifter is in the PARK position.
15. Tighten the adjustment screw (5) to 7 Nm (65 in.lbs.).
16. Verify correct shifter operation.
17. If necessary, install the shield, covering the gearshift and park lock cables, to the floorpan and install the bolts to hold the shield to the floorpan.
18. Install the floor console See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Floor Console - Installation , lower
instrument panel components See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Instrument Panel
Bezel - Installation and dash panel insulation pad as necessary.
