Front Hub and Bearing - Installation

NOTE: Prior to installation, inspect magnetic encoder (for wheel speed sensor) (2) for any damage and make sure any metal debris sticking to
it is removed.
NOTE: Always install a new hub nut. The original hub nut is one-time use only and should be discarded when removed.
1. Slide hub and bearing onto knuckle spindle.
2. Install hub nut (1) on end of spindle. Tighten hub nut to 213 Nm (152 ft. lbs.) torque.
3. Install brake rotor, then disc brake caliper and adapter assembly. See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc Brake System/Brake Rotor/Disc/Service

NOTE: Install a new dust cap to preserve seal integrity.
4. Install NEW dust cap (2) on hub and bearing.
