Steering Column Cover: Service and Repair

Removal

REMOVAL

WARNING: Before servicing the steering column the airbag system must be disarmed. Refer to restraint system for service procedures. Failure
to do so may result in accidental deployment of the airbag and possible personal injury or death.

1. Access and remove the steering column control module (SCCM) (1) from the column. See: Relays and Modules - Steering/Steering Mounted

2. Remove the steering column opening cover (1). See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and

3. Remove the steering column opening reinforcement (1).
4. Remove the cluster bezel. See: Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Instrument Cluster / Carrier/Service and Repair/Instrument Panel
