Electronic Vehicle Information Center - Description
DESCRIPTION
The Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) features a driver-interactive display. The display is located in the upper part of the instrument cluster
between the speedometer and tachometer. This system conveniently allows the driver to select a variety of useful information by pressing the switches
mounted on the steering wheel. The EVIC displays information related to the following:

System Status

Vehicle information warning message displays

Tire Pressure Monitor System - If Equipped
-
Personal Settings (customer programmable features)
-
Compass display
-
Outside temperature display
-
Trip computer functions
-
UConnect(TM) hands-free communication system displays - If Equipped

Navigation system screens - If Equipped

Audio mode display
The EVIC system is comprised of several different components. Those components are:

Instrument Cluster

Steering Wheel Switches

Ambient Temperature Sensor

Electronic Overhead Module

Controller Area Network (CAN) Data Bus

Local Interface Network (LIN) Data Bus
The EVIC display is part of the Instrument Cluster assembly and is not serviced as a separate component. If the display is inoperative the complete
