SYMPTOM/CONDITION

A cold sag condition may exist in some Colt or Colt Vista models with either manual or automatic transmissions.

DIAGNOSIS/REPAIR

Before proceeding with any driveablity repair, be sure that all components and systems are operating properly, and are set to specifications. A thorough
visual inspection of all vacuum hoses and connectors, as well as wiring and connectors, must also be made to verify proper operation.

Should the vehicle still exhibit a cold sag after verifying the proper operation of all other vehicle systems, a new electronic control unit must be installed.
