Limited Slip

PREDISASSEMBLY INSPECTION

1. Inspect rotation torque of limited slip differential as follows:

a. Check rotation torque using side gear holding tool set Nos. MB990998 and MB990989 or equivalent.
b. If rotation torque is not 14-29 ft. lbs. when a used plate is used or 3.6-29 ft. lbs. when a new plate is used, disassemble carrier and correct or

replace parts.
