1.

Place selector lever in neutral position.

2.

Hold transaxle shift lever and remove retaining nut, then remove manual lever.

3.

Disconnect switch electrical connector and remove retaining screws, then remove switch from transaxle.

4.

Install replacement switch over selector shaft, loosely install retaining screws and connect electrical connector.

5.

Install manual lever and torque retaining nut to 13-15 ft. lbs., then adjust switch as follows:

a. Ensure shift linkage is properly adjusted and transaxle lever is in neutral position.
b. Rotate switch body until .472 inch wide end of manual lever (A) overlaps switch body as shown.
c. Hold switch in this position and torque retaining screws to 7-9 ft. lbs.
d. Check operation of selector and switch, and ensure that starter only engages with selector in park or neutral.
