REPAIR PROCEDURE
This repair involves installing a bolt to hold the vapor containment door open. This reduces the build up of fuel vapors inside the air cleaner.
1.
While holding the vapor containment trap door open, drill a 1/4" hole through both the round dimple of the air cleaner snorkel and the trap door.
The vapor containment trap door is located in the air cleaner snorkel that has the heated air vacuum motor. For "B" model trucks it is on the
passenger side, and for "D" model trucks it is located on the driver's side.
