Fuel Shut-off Solenoid: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
Fuel Solenoid Spring And Plunger
1.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the fuel solenoid.
2.
Thoroughly clean the area around the fuel solenoid.
3.
Remove the fuel solenoid from the injection pump.
CAUTION: Be careful not to drop the plunger or spring when removing the fuel solenoid.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install the fuel solenoid, O-ring, spring, and plunger.
2.
Torque to 32 lb-ft (43 Nm).
3.
Connect the electrical connector to the fuel solenoid.
