SYMPTOM/CONDITION
Vehicle may exhibit a start/run/stall condition (driveway die-out) and/or poor fuel economy.
DIAGNOSIS
Using the DRB II tester, the fault message "OXYGEN SENSOR SIGNAL" will be seen at the Read Fault Data screen. If this message is encountered,
disconnect the four-way connector at the oxygen sensor wiring harness. Inspect the connector terminals of both the oxygen sensor harness and the body
wiring harness for corrosion. If corrosion is present, proceed to the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
This procedure involves the replacement of the oxygen sensor and the repair of the oxygen sensor wiring harness.
1.
Disconnect battery.
2.
At a point approximately 3" from the connector, cut the wires of the oxygen sensor harness (on the body side of the harness).
3.
Strip the covering from the ends of the four (4) wires of the body harness so that 1/4" (.25") of wiring is exposed.
4.
Slide one piece of the shrink wrap, PN 4400683, onto each of the four wires.
5.
Connect the wires of the repair harness to the wires of the body harness by twisting the wires together. Be sure to match the wire colors.
6.
Solder the twisted wires using a rosin core solder.
