SYMPTOM/CONDITION
Spark knock during acceleration.
DIAGNOSIS
Check the ignition timing as outlined in the Diagnostic Test Procedure. If the ignition timing is not 3~ BTDC, reset using repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
This procedure involves setting basic timing to a revised specification.
1.
Using Diagnostic Test Procedure, retard basic timing 7~ BTDC to 3~ BTDC.
2.
Reset idle as outlined in Diagnostic Test Procedure.
3.
Type Authorized Modification Label, PN 4275086, as shown in Figure 1 and attach near VECI label.
