Fig. 5  Disconnect Housing Cover Assembly

1.

Remove disconnect housing cover assembly attaching bolts, then the cover and gasket.

2.

Remove E-clip from shift motor housing and shaft, then remove shift motor and fork.

3.

Remove O-ring and shift fork pads.

4.

Clean and inspect parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, replace as necessary.

5.

Reverse procedure to install, noting the following: 
a.

When installing disconnect housing cover assembly, carefully guide the shift fork into shift collar groove.

b.

Torque cover attaching bolts to 10 ft. lbs.
