NOTE: Cowl trim panel for Quad Cab models shown. Club Cab similar.

3. Remove the cowl trim panels, See: Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Cowl Trim/Cowl Trim - Removal.

4. Remove the rear door sill scuff plates, See: Scuff Plate/Service and Repair/Door Sill Scuff Plate - Removal.

5. Disconnect the body wire harness connector (3) from the seat belt tensioner initiator on the retractor (1).
6. Remove the two screws (2) that secure the retractor mounting bracket to the floor panel inboard of the door sill (4) and position the retractor aside.
