Headlight Switch: Service and Repair

Light switch removal

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Remove steering column cover and silencer pad (if equipped).

3.

Remove instrument cluster bezel.

4.

Remove light switch bezel assembly attaching screws.

5.

Remove headlight and accessory switch trim bezel.

6.

Remove four switch plate to lower panel attaching screws.

7.

Pull switch assembly rearward, then disconnect switch electrical connectors.

8.

Remove switch knob and stem by depressing button on switch.

9.

Remove two headlight switch plate to switch plate assembly attaching screws, then the headlight switch retainer and switch.

10.

Reverse procedure to install.
