Dimmer Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Remove tilt lever, if equipped, then the screws along bottom edge of steering column.

Pull cover down to disengage slide tabs, then remove cover.

Multifunction Switch

4.

Remove both upper and lower lock covers from column, then the lower fixed column cover.

5.

Loosen steering column upper bracket nuts, but do not remove, then move upper fixed column cover to gain access to rear of multifunction switch.

6.

Remove multifunction switch mounting screws, then pull switch away from column.
