OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), replacing the P/S pressure hose, and installing a wiring harness.

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with a 3.9L engine and an automatic transmission (sales codes EHC and DGK).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The vehicle operator may describe that the idle fluctuates while turning at slow speeds with their foot off the accelerator pedal i.e. parking lot
maneuvers).
DIAGNOSIS:
If the vehicle operator describes or the technician experiences the Symptom/Condition and there is no P/S pressure switch in the P/S pressure hose,
perform the Repair Procedure.
PARTS REQUIRED:
SPECIAL TOOLS/EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
NOTE:
An updated J1962 cable has been released. This cable has a red colored connector at the DRBIII(R) connection. Use this cable whenever a flash is
being performed.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
CAUTION:
The technician must replace the pis hose, install the pressure switch wiring harness, and flash the PCM before returning the vehicle to the customer.
