Control Arm Bushing: Service and Repair
Front Suspension
BUSHINGS CONTROL ARM
REMOVAL
1. Remove the control arm from the vehicle.
2. Mount the control arm securely in a vise.
3. Remove the nut and washer from the control arm shaft.
4. Install the bushing tool.
5. Press out the old bushings.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the bushing in the control arm and inserted over the shaft.
2. Install the bushing tool.
3. Press the bushing into the control arm.
4. Install the washer and nut to the control arm shaft. Tighten the nut to 167 Nm (130 ft. lbs.).
5. Remove the control arm from the vise.
6. Install the control arm in the vehicle.
