Front Door Handle: Service and Repair
Exterior Door Handle
REMOVAL
1. Move window to down position and disconnect battery.
2. Remove trim panel using the procedure given in this section.
Access Hole To Outside Handle Components
3. Partially remove air and water shields to expose outside handle access hole.
Illuminated Entry Switch Tool
Illuminated Entry Switch Removal
4. Remove illuminated entry switch using a tool like the one illustrated above.
5. Disconnect key cylinder link at latch.
6. Unfasten handle to latch link, at the latch.
7. Unfasten lock to latch link, at the latch.
8. Loosen and remove one nut which retains the handle to the door.
9. Remove handle bracket and remove handle from outer sheet metal of door.
10. Remove key cylinder from handle.
INSTALLATION
1. Install key cylinder to handle.
